BRADLEY'S NEW ENCLOSED SAFETY SHOWER STANDS UP TO HARSH CHEMICALS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Dec 03, 2010

MENOMONEE FALLS, WIS., (June, 2009) — Armed with an insulated fiberglass structure, fire ratings, and reliable chemical and corrosion resistance, Bradley’s new enclosed safety shower provides superior washdown capability in emergency situations, while withstanding harsh chemicals and environmental conditions during frigid and arctic weather.

Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications, the enclosed safety shower carries a UL 94 V-0 self-extinguishing fire rating.  Resins and insulation are rated as a Class 1 ASTM E84 to flame spread rating of less than 25.  In addition, the shower comes equipped with 100% fiberglass surround construction that is highly resistant to chemicals and corrosion.  The exterior features UV inhibitor gel-coat for extra protection from sunlight ultraviolet ray degradation and exposure to chemical and salt-laden air environmental conditions.

The enclosed safety shower's combination eye wash and drench shower comes with a scald- and freeze-protection valve, resisting freezing up to minus-50 degrees Fahrenheit.  Its SpinTec™ drench shower head delivers a uniform 23 gallons per minute (GPM) flow, providing a superior washdown in a shorter amount of time than other emergency fixtures.

The shower's corrosion-resistant BRADTECT™ yellow coating makes the fixture easily visible.

The shower's sturdy construction features stainless steel framed viewing windows with wire-reinforced safety glass; double-acting spring hinge crash doors with weather strips to maintain maximum seal against wind, rain and snow; wind-load capabilities of up to 150 mph, including three-second gusts when anchored; and a seismic 4 earthquake rating.  In the event that replacement is needed, the shower is constructed with both top lift and base lift capabilities that simplify the replacement process.

Bradley offers three models of the enclosed safety shower that can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications, including S19382 Polar Shower with Tepid Water Inlet, S19384 Polar Shower with Hot Water Tank, and S19388 Polar Shower with Electric Tankless Water Heather.  Ideal applications include mining, oil refineries, petrochemical facilities and energy providers.
