High-Performance And Smart Construction Earn ADEX For Bradley's New Terreon Classroom Sink

Feb 09, 2001

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI (February 9, 2001) - Bradley Corporation received a 2000 Award for Design Excellence (ADEX) for its Terreon® Classroom Sink. ADEX, the most prestigious award presented for superior product design of furnishings marketed to the design trade, recognizes the sink's unique solid surface material - Terreon® - that stands up to almost any environmental condition, as well as the sink's smart design and construction.

Introduced in early 2000, the classroom sink is made of Terreon®, Bradley's exclusive solid surface material that resists stains, burns, impact and vandalism. The Terreon® Classroom Sink lasts three to four times longer than laminate alternatives and is very easy to maintain. The all-in-one unit consists of a solid surface counter top with an integral sink, covered backsplash, gooseneck faucet and drinking fountain.

Unlike any other classroom sink on the market today, the Terreon® Classroom Sink includes built-in waste receptacle openings that serve as a space-saver and help foster cleanliness in educational facilities.

The optional four-sided drip ledge around the sink keeps water within the bowl perimeter, helping to keep the counter tops and floors safe and dry. Other options include a deck-mounted soap dispenser, multiple bowls, and gooseneck faucet and drinking fountains. Each Terreon® Classroom Sink is customized and manufactured to specified dimensions.

Out of three categories - Platinum, Gold and Silver - the Terreon® Classroom Sink won the Gold medal. All ADEX winners will be spotlighted in the March-April issue of Design Journal magazine.
