MENOMONEE FALLS, WI (February 5, 2005) - Bradley Corp. has enhanced the online sizing guide for its Navigator® Thermostatic Mixing Valves adding more functionality to the calculator, improved graphics and more.

The interactive sizing tool, available in the thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) section at www.bradleycorp.com, helps users specify the appropriate Bradley valve for their specific application and number of restroom or locker room fixtures.  Bradley's line of Navigator TMV's blend incoming hot and cold water to regulate water temperature within a set point and prevent water temperature extremes such as hot-water scalding.  

The TMV Sizing Guide now calculates the correct value for the application based on either valve capacity using both the "Hunter's Curve" or and  the "Total Demand" methods.  Within the Hunter's Curve menu, a pull-down box allows users to select a type of facility (health club, hospital, office building, etc.).  The calculator is then automatically customized with all of the different types of water demands for that application.  Users simply plug in the minimum flow and acceptable pressure drop, if known, to get a product recommendation.  

Sizing a TMV using the Total Demand method is just as easy.  Users select either tempered water or mixed water depending on fixture needs, fill in the calculator and indicate the quantity of each different type of fixture.  It is worth noting that the sizing calculations apply only to Bradley valves.
