Bradley Offers Tankless Water Heater Option on Lavatory Systems
Mar 09, 2004MENOMONEE FALLS, WI (March 9, 2004) - Bradley Corp. has added an optional electric tankless water heater to its Express® Lavatory System models in the MG- and SS-Series. The tankless heater provides hot water on-demand, reducing energy waste and eliminating the need for a storage tank.
Bradley's group handwashing fixtures with tankless water heaters are connected only to cold water and do not need hot water piping. The heater is concealed within the pedestal of either the MG- or SS-Series lavatory and heats the water as it is being used. Factory pre-set at 105-degrees Fahrenheit, a flow switch activates the tankless water heater with 99 percent efficiency, and a micro-processing temperature control maintains temperature accuracy within one degree.
The Express Lavatory Systems with the electric tankless water heater option are appropriate for new construction when only cold water is installed, or those situations when a restroom or handwashing station is not near a hot water source. The tankless water heater is well suited for schools, zoos or parks, travel plazas, stadiums and nursing homes.
The tankless water heater is easy to install, and features a replacement cartridge element for easy maintenance. If installed as part of a renovation, the hot water source can simply be turned off and the heater can be connected to the cold water supply. An added benefit of supplying hot water is less lime build-up, calcification and sedimentation, as well as the prevention of Legionella bacteria growth.
