Bradley NDITE™ Technology Approved by Greenspec
May 24, 2005MENOMONEE FALLS, WI (May 24, 2005) - Bradley Corp., the leader in complete solutions for commercial washrooms, announced today that its NDITE™ technology, the industry's first light-powered lavatory system, has officially been approved and listed in the current GreenSpec Directory published by BuildingGreen. The directory lists over 1,800 products that have been reviewed and selected by editors after meeting a variety of performance and environmental criteria such as water and energy conservation or air quality. GreenSpec has included the product in the Low-Water-Use-Fixtures category listed as NDITE PV-powered lavatories. The listing can be viewed in the online directory available at www.buildinggreen.com and will be in the print version due out later this year. "We are so pleased that GreenSpec has recognized the positive environmental impact of our NDITE technology which we believe will revolutionize the lavatory category", said Jon Dommisse, director of marketing and product development for Bradley Corp. Bradley's NDITE technology converts restroom lighting to energy, which provides power to the sensors and valves on the Express® SS and MG Series lavatory systems. Using photovoltaic cells integrated into the top of the Express Lavatory System, the patent-pending NDITE technology converts light into electricity. Whether natural light or normal room-level lighting, the cells capture light when it is available and store the energy for later use in a battery-free system. NDITE technology eliminates the need for electrical hook-ups.
